It's such a pain to have to wipe down or scrub walls before you decide to paint, or even to just brighten up the place from children (and husbands) touching the walls all the time. It's such a pain that people don't do this task very often, or they just spot clean the most noticeable marks. I have a simple and efficient way to quickly clean every surface of your walls.
Put down your sponges and rags and pick up your Swiffer mop. No joke, it's that easy! I have to give my mother full credit for this hack. Growing up she was always changing the color of paint in our house, and I would see her Swiffer the walls to remove dust and whatever else my three siblings and I got on the walls. I didn't realize most people do it a harder way until my best friend's dad paid me $15 to wipe down their walls with a wet rag, which also required a step ladder.
I just did this in my house the other day, and didn't realize how dirty the walls were until I had finished cleaning all the walls, and it made such a difference. I'm glad I did this right before the holiday season, when we plan on having people over for Christmas parties and such. However, I don't have a Swiffer like my mom. Instead I use a flat floor mop, with a reusable and washable microfiber head, and it works exactly the same. Just wet the microfiber and wring it out before using it on your walls. You can also use your favorite cleaner to spray the surface of the walls before wiping them down if you would like.
I hope you guys find this hack to be useful, and that it saves you time and energy!
